1. You experience a wicked hour of Peace.
You lay comfortably, fully clothed on a massage table cosseted in a blanket and eye pillow, with soft restful music playing or silence, your choice. Reiki rooms are arranged to give a restful atmosphere. During the session, you rest peacefully perhaps nodding off, or more likely having an “experience” while the practitioner rests hands lightly on you.
2. Reiki can give you clarity.
Prior to or at the beginning of the session, you can share any challenges you may be having and set an intention to gain clarity and understanding around your situation. Often setting the intention is not required as Reiki has a way of finding what you need most at the time. In any case, “Aha!” moments, new ideas and possible solutions will present to you during the session or in the following days.
3. Reiki can connect you to your intuitiveness and spiritual insight.
Reiki is not connected with any religion in any way. Reiki is a bridge to connecting to your own inner guidance and awareness. Reiki can present the world to you from a more spiritual perspective.
4. Stress relief for the overwhelmed.
A jaw-dropping number of Australians are suffering from stress on a regular basis.
- Alarmingly 91% of adult Australians feel stress in at least one important area of their lives. Almost 50% feel very stressed about one part of their life – Lifeline Australia.
Stress often presents as adrenal fatigue and recovery can be slow. A Reiki session releases tension in the body without pain. The Reikis experience is calming and peaceful. Reiki Practitioners are human too (We are – even Masters, honest 🙂 and experience stress. But we have a bag of tricks to help alleviate our stress and are usually happy to share them.
5. It can help alleviate anxiety.
Reiki supports us on a Physical, Emotional, Mental and Spiritual level (PEMS) . Thus a session tends to treat the whole individual (restoring balance to the PEMS levels) instead of a symptom or two. The result is usually effective for longer giving the individual the opportunity to use the balance and clarity gained to progress to a point where they understand – and can let go of some fear, thus reducing the frequency of anxietal thoughts and episodes.
6. Reiki is for everyone.
Okay this is number 6, I am not stressed about it :-). No matter who you are, you are dealing with a challenge and will benefit from Reiki. Reiki can also be performed by anyone. Reiki 1 is largely for self-treatment and for treating friends and family. It is easy and inexpensive to awaken this innate (yes we all have it) self-healing ability for your own use every day for the rest of your life simply hunt me down for a course (July 22nd & 29th, and Sept 9th & 16th) or attend a Reiki share (May 22nd) I facilitate.
